Shark Fishing on a Charter Boat in Manteo, NC
Powerful toothy fish make for a great fish story!  In Turn, the Instigator fishes on areas of ocean with structure such as lumps, changes in depth and wrecks or holes.  Always looking around for fishy spots, a good sign could be slicks, bait and birds. After finding the perfect spot we start get the chum slick going and start our drift. With a handful of heavy rods baited, we use floats to distribute the rigs to different depths. We always have bait ready to pitch at those curious sharks that come directly to the boat. Sharks can take from 10 minutes to an hour to bring in depending on the size. Anglers can use the fighting chair or stand. After that, you always have the decision to fish for for or bring the shark onboard.Â
